Upcoming Programs

"TREES for TEXAS LANDSCAPES"

March 3  - Learn about specific local trees and their identifying characteristics. There are many trees that grew ‘back home’ that don’t do well in our Texas soil and in our Texas weather.  Our tree expert will talk about the most beneficial based on land constraints that one might have in a local neighborhood.  Recent studies suggest more trees help reduce global warming.

"BLUEBIRDS"

April 7 - Whether it is a happy or a mad bluebird, our program will cover habitat, plants that provide best food and shelter, and nesting boxes. Keith is a life-long bird lover and bluebird enthusiast extraordinaire and he and his wife have fledged upwards of 1200 bluebirds a year from trails around Mt. Pleasant and have donated thousands of nesting boxes to youth groups and landowners. His bluebird trail is the oldest and most productive in Texas and may well have fledged more birds than any other single trail in North America.

"CINCO de MAYO: UNA FIESTA & INSTALLATION of OFFICERS"

May 5 - Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with flowers!  Bright colors, music and laughter . . . ending the year on a high note….!  We will install our 2020-2021 Officers and introduce out Spring Plano ISD Science Fair winners to wow us with their project presentations!
