Monthly Program

March 5 - "BLACKLAND PRAIRIE: HISTORY, STRUCTURE, and PLANTS" - The Blackland Prairie is a vast ecoregion in which the geology, geography, soil and weather have dramatic effects on the plant life in the region and have a continuing dynamic that is spellbounding to learn about.  Don't miss this important historical and futuristic tour of a large portion of the Texas landscape.

Service in Action 

March - HERITAGE FARMSTEAD MUSEUM" - Prepare wreaths for the Victorian Eggtravaganza and Spring Festival.  Meet at the Young House.  Volunteer time from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Garden Spaders 

March 13 - "OLD CITY PARK" - There is a lot of history in the Old City Park.  Rosemary Brumley is famous for her extensive historical knowledge, perspective, and lore of Dallas.  See some of her heirloom items in the park and enjoy lots of details that we'll share from her great bank of information.  We'll eat lunch together at Mudhen - famous for using ingredients from the nearby Farmer's market.  Meet at St. Marks at 9 a.m.

Service in Action 

March 16 - "CHILDREN'S MEADOW GARDEN" - Garden maintenance will be performed.  The work will begin at 9 a.m. to completion. 

Creative Designers 

March 19 All Judges will be here to critique and help with your designs for the flower show.  We hope all of you will enter but even if you are not entering the Flower Show come and we will have flowers available.  Bring your container and any branch material you are using.  Please RSVP for flowers.  We will attempt to have the flowers you need except for tropical which are not in our budget.  This event will be held from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Texas Garden Club

March 19-21 - Flower Show - "SCHOOL I" - This course will be held in Dallas, TX

Service in Action 

March 28 - "GIRL SCOUT WORKSHOP" - Floral design workshop for Girl Scouts to enter their designs in Flower Show.

A Standard Flower Show 

March 29-30 - "THE WONDERS of MY GARDEN" - The event will be held at Plano’s Environmental Education Center, 4116 West Plano Parkway,  Plano, TX 75093    FREE event, and open to the public for viewing on Friday March 29 from 1 pm - 5 pm and on Saturday March 30 from 10 am - 4 pm.
